My name is Phoebe and I am an Australian based freelance illustrator and designer. I love bringing stories and ideas to life through my art and aim to create images that resonate and engage with others.
My work mixes both digital and traditional artistic practices which allows me to create design conscious and captivating pieces. Even though most of what I create is developed using Procreate and Adobe Photoshop, I continue with my traditional practise and seek to combine these elements wherever possible.
My work is very much influenced by my interest and previous involvement in drama and theatre. I tend to incorporate language and verse into my illustrations to create pieces that speak both visually and poetically.
Having both illustration and design experience at hand, I can approach any collection of work with creativity and purpose, making sure that each project is both visually and practically successful.

Like many others in the world, my name has been subject to some interesting mispronunciations. Of course I didn’t think ‘Phoebe’ would be as open to interpretation as it was, but I was clearly wrong.
At some point during a class in middle school I had a teacher mispronounce my name as ‘Fo-bee'. It certainly baffled me, but it wasn’t the last time I heard my name pronounced as such. What was also surprising was that I didn’t hate the sound of it . . . and so I decided to utilise the commonly repeated name as my monicker.
Fobi and me began as a Facebook page back in 2014 whilst I was still in high school. It was my first opportunity of sharing my art to a wider audience - not that many others aside from my friends and family were witness to this, but it was a start. My focus was to share my passion for art which had begun quite a few years before. . . And I haven’t stopped since!
