Phoebe & Dan’s Wedding Invitations
A collection of designs inspired by Rupert Bunny’s painting “Endormies,” 1904, oil on canvas.
In 2024 I had the pleasure of designing my own wedding invitations. At the start of the year I was lost as to what my theme would be, however my wedding dress provided me with the answers.
I purchased an end of season garment from Zimmerman that was printed with an artwork by Australian painter Rupert Bunny. His 1904 work “Endormies” which portrays his wife Jeanne, and a secondary female figure lounging by a body of water, filled the skirt of the gown. And so it became the basis for my invitations.
